Dave Matthews Band: The quintessential jam band of the past two decades, the Dave Matthews Band, revolutionized mainstream music with a unique, laid-back style and similarly laid-back tour dates. 2011 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Dave Matthews Band and, while the group has vowed not to play tour dates in 2011, they have produced mini-music festivals this summer that are bound to please fans more than an average tour date.

In 1990, Dave Matthews reluctantly formed a band utilizing some of the most talented musicians in the Charlottesville area of Virginia. Initially playing tour dates at small local clubs, college students were responsible for the success of early albums like, Remember Two Things, and Under the Table and Dreaming. Crash became a breakout success for the Dave Matthews Band in 1996, featuring the hit singles "Crash into Me" and "So Much to Say." The album has gone platinum seven times and was followed by higher profile tour dates than the band was used to. 2001's Everyday also did well with the singles "I Did It", "The Space Between", and the album's title track becoming hits.

Dave Matthews Band's latest album, 2009's Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King was nominated for two Grammys and received widespread acclaim from critics. The Dave Matthews Band Caravan has also received acclaim from critics, and the two remaining tour dates in 2011 contain all-star lineups that can't be missed. The next festival date is on the weekend of August 28 on Governor's Island in New York, followed by an appearance at The Gorge in George, WA on the weekend of September 2. Don't miss Dave Matthews Band on their 20th Anniversary tour dates in 2011 at these monumental music festivals.

Brandi Carlile: Since releasing her debut EP, Room for Me, in 2000; Brandi Carlile has been a darling of folk-rock. The singer-songwriter released her fourth album, Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony, in May, 2011 and will tour to promote the live effort. Since being labeled as one of Rolling Stone's 10 Artists to Watch list in 2005, Carlile has been serving up modest folk hits that have filled our souls. The rural Washington native started out performing country music covers as a teenager. Brandi Carlile concerts were performed throughout the local bar scene of Seattle where she sold her self-released EPs. She garnered industry attention when Dave Matthews noticed her at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, in 2003. She was soon signed to Columbia Records and released her major label self-titled debut in 2005. Brandi Carlile tour dates were booked alongside the Hanseroth Brothers for the next two years while her single "What Can I Say" became a hit on the Billboard Triple-A chart, reaching #18 in 2006. By the end of the year, Brandi Carlile had shared the stage for concert performances with Shawn Colvin, Ray LaMontagne, and Tori Amos to name a few.

Her sophomore set, The Story, was released in 2007 and featured production by Grammy-Award winning producer T-Bone Burnett. She worked with her idols, the Indigo Girls, on a track and three of the singles were featured on the ABC hit television show Grey's Anatomy. Following the success of the album Brandi Carlile tour dates took her across the pond to the UK where she performed with Newton Faulkner. Brandi Carlile tour dates were also scheduled as the opening act on Maroon 5 and OneRepublic's Australian tour. She released her third album, Give Up The Ghost, in 2009 where it debuted at #26 on the Billboard 200 and featured a collabo with her idol - Elton John. The album was produced by the iconic Rick Rubin and once again many tracks were licensed out to hit television shows.

Carlile's fourth album, Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony, was recorded at live tour dates in November, 2010. The album features several covers, most notably Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, and other original Carlile material. It was a dream come-true for the up-and-comer who "got to work with a world class symphony and record in this legendary venue in [her] hometown," said Carlile. She has been blessed to work with such prolific producers as T-Bone Burnett and Rick Rubin, not through luck, but because of the raw talent these visionaries saw in her. The folk-rock starlet is only beginning and will be on tour throughout 2011. Don't miss a date on the Brandi Carlile concert schedule (2011).
