More Info

The Cranberries: The Cranberries exploded onto the alt-rock scene during the '90s to become Ireland's best export since U2. After touring and recording for the better part the 90's they broke up to focus on side projects. In 2011, The Cranberries announced a reunion with tour dates slated and a new album, Roses, scheduled for release in 2011. Don't miss a date on The Cranberries tour calendar. The Cranberries have their roots in Limerick, Ireland and were founded by brothers Noel and Mike Hogan with Fergal Lawler on drums and singer Dolores O'Riordan. They self-recorded their demo and shopped it around to all major labels; a bidding war ensued and the band eventually signed to Island Records. They released their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing it, So Why Cant' We?, in 1993. The album was initially tepidly received until MTV discovered them and put their videos into heavy rotation. The Cranberries toured the UK with alt-rockers Suede and re-released their signature single "Linger". The single remains their only top ten charting track in the US and helped to push sales of their debut album to #1 and multi-Platinum status on the UK charts.

The Cranberries released their sophomore set, No Need to Argue, in 1995 and scheduled international tour dates. The album featured the politically charged single "Zombie", and was certified seven times Platinum in the US to become their best selling album to date. The Cranberries closed out the '90s with the albums To the Faithful Departed and Bury the Hatchet and embarked on an extensive concert schedule. The Cranberries World Tour 1999 became the most successful tour of their career and they hit the studio to record Wake Up and Smell the Coffee in 2001. The album would be their last; They released a Greatest Hits in 2002 and The Cranberries embarked on a European tour. Additional Cranberries tour dates were scheduled on the opening stage for the Rolling Stones before they announced an indefinite hiatus in 2003.

For the rest of the decade, the band members focused on their personal lives and on individual projects. In 2009, The Cranberries announced a North American and European tour and began to produce new material. Their latest album, Roses, is scheduled for release in Fall, 2011 and The Cranberries tour dates have been scheduled internationally. Don't miss a date on The Cranberries tour schedule and concert tour 2011. The Irish alt-rock icons have nearly a decade of pent up aggression to get out on stage.
